SS 321 round bar (UNS S32100) contains 17-19% chromium and 9-12% nickel which provides good corrosion and heat resistant properties. It has tensile strength of 75 ksi and yield strength of 30 ksi. This provides it excellent strength and ability to endure high pressure. It has a hardness of 217 HB and elongation of 40% making it tough yet ductile. The 0.08% low carbon content means there is no formation of carbide. This composition makes it ideal for high temperatures and welding.
